Spring Lacrosse

Spring is the primary season and busiest time for lacrosse.

9th - 12th grade boys play with their school teams in the DMV public and private leagues.

Youth (K-8th) are encouraged to play with their aligned recreation programs.

Top Caliber teams, as our players approach middle school age, play in the Greater Howard Club Lacrosse Conference.

We host clinics and supplemental tryouts during the spring to prepare for the summer tournament season. Teams also find opportunities to practice as the NVYLL and high school leagues conclude.

Top Caliber supports the Northern Virginia Youth Lacrosse League (NVYLL) and our players participating with their recreational programs during the spring.

Many past and current NVYLL commissioners and coaches have chosen Top Caliber as their player's travel club lacrosse home.

Greater Howard Club Lacrosse Conference (GHCLC or HoCo) is the premier club lacrosse league in the region that hosts some of the top youth club teams in Maryland, Washington D.C., Delaware, and Virginia. Centrally located in Howard County, Maryland, the league is run by the County's Department of Recreation & Parks. The league utilizes 25 synthetic turf fields each spring and fall (by using four Howard County regional parks and 13 Howard County high school stadiums).

The VHSL is an alliance of Virginia’s 315 public and approved non-boarding, non-public high schools that promotes education, leadership, sportsmanship, character and citizenship for students by establishing and maintaining high standards for school activities and competitions.

Top Caliber Lacrosse coaches are involved with several high school programs.

Top Caliber Lacrosse coaches have been the head coach or on the staff for seven of the last nine VHSL Class 6 State Champion teams. [as of 2023]
